Homeowners who are interested to erect swimming pool in their home, may do so with many options available to them. They can opt for the common concrete type of pools or go for type of fiberglass or vinyl-lined pools as their other choice. It is easy to erect a fiberglass type of swimming pool than a concrete type. For completion of concrete type of pools two to three months time is required whereas fiberglass swimming pools are built within two weeks. Fiberglass pools need not require so much maintenance action in comparison to vinyl-lined pools or concrete type of pools. Algae are not grown in the fiberglass type of pools because of its smooth surface.

Therefore, it is easy to clean a fiberglass type of pool and maintenance cost is much less than the concrete or vinyl-lined type of pools. However, initial down payment for constructing a fiberglass type of pool is high compared to concrete or vinyl-lined pools.
