In this session, we will provide a brief overview of what the GridFTP protocol is, and the features / architecture of the Globus implementation. We will then cover two different aspects of GridFTP development: the client API for developing custom clients, and the Data Storage Interface which will allow you to provide a GridFTP server implementation that can read/write a non-standard storage system (for instance a mass storage system).
