So what does an Enterprise Grid look like today? Why are these grids not quite the same as the traditional view of a Grid? What are end users trying to do to move toward the vision of Grid Computing and what do they need from vendors and the community at large? This presentation uses the real world, and perhaps somewhat extreme, example of eBay’s infrastructure to illustrate the nature of Enterprise Grids today and to show where enterprise users are heading in the near and long terms.
