Biography
Bob Hintze
VP Utility Computing, Wachovia, Corporate and Investment Bank.

Bob joined Wachovia's Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) in 2005 to define and implement their utility model in their push to go beyond grid computing. Bob's team is currently focused on driving internal consumption of the distributed utility services across the various business areas comprising CIB. These utility services, offered via their service catalog, include grid and virtualized infrastructure services, consultative services, and the propagation of core SOA/SOI components and frameworks to drive efficiency, speed to market, and reuse in their creation and delivery of an SOU.

Prior to joining Wachovia, Bob spent over 22 years at IBM Corp. in various roles across development, marketing and sales both in the Americas and in Europe. From 2002 until he joined Wachovia, he was responsible for IBM Americas' initiatives in grid computing for financial services, working with many partners and technologies. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Computer Science.
