Removing ordinary paints won’t need much attention. When it comes to lead paints, it is extremely important that you take all the safety measures as it dissipates in the air and finally enters our lungs. Make sure you are equipped to start with the task. You need stripping pad, scrapping equipment, and varnish for steel wool. Put drop clothes for floor and chairs and furniture to protect them from dust.
It is recommended to wear eye goggles, gloves and highly ventilated clothes which cover hands and legs completely. Make sure that the fan or air cooler is switched off since it will cause the paint or the solvent to dry off soon. Solvents like paint thinners can be used if the surface is not smooth or when it has curves and edges. In these cases chemically striping the paint seems easier and quicker but costs more when compared to traditional method.
